My Home Tour
Hi, I’m Jaimee. I’m a wife, mom, photographer, lover of gardening, interiors, and fashion.
How would you describe the style of your home in three words? Mediterranean, imperfect, oasis.

Is there a piece of art, furniture, or decor in your home that has a special story behind it? I use a lot of things we’ve collected from past travels or events as decor in my house. A piece of driftwood from Mexico sits in our fireplace when we’re not using it. Seashells are displayed from another family trip to Mexico. Menu’s from our favorite dinners line one of our walls. Love notes written by my husband are framed. Little moments everywhere that tell the story of our family.

Where do you spend most of your time at home? Outside. We are outside 99% of the time- even in the extreme Phoenix heat. We renovated our front and backyard a couple years ago and it has become an oasis to me. I often travel for work and stay in nicer hotels (I’m bougie) but I always end up thinking my home is better.

What are some of your favorite everyday rituals or routines that happen here? I love making coffee in the morning and drinking it outside when it’s not so hot. And then a glass of wine in the garden at sunset.

What is your favorite way to gather or entertain in this space? Again, outside. Almost every party we have is outside- we made a huge patio area for outdoor living and it’s become a staple of our parties.

What is one design tip or lesson you’ve learned while creating your home? When you have kids nothing will be perfect. Almost everything we’ve bought brand new gets marker on it or is accidentally cut with scissors or scraped. I try to be less precious about stuff but I do love everything to be clean and tidy at the end of the day.

What are your favorite local businesses, makers, or sources for home inspiration? Lifestyled Co is not only a great place to shop but it’s a great place for inspiration. I love Found Arcadia too for all their vintage pieces. I often visit this antique mall close to me when I’m looking for little trinkets.

What’s next for this space? Any future dreams or projects on the horizon
We just put a door in the primary that leads to the back yard which was a long time coming project. We still have to create the patio. And we hope to Reno the kitchen at some point.
